Isabela House (Construction Log 19) Working on Sundays


Although it’s a Sunday we invariably find some of the construction team working for at least part of the day. The photos and video were taken first in the cloudy morning and then in the sunny, blue sky afternoon. Arches above the lanai supporting the viewing deck are now visible. It makes a bold statement which will be softened when it is painted in line with the rest of the house. The front of the viewing deck will have railings and it will be accessed by a spiral staircase from the side of the lanai below.

It’s interesting overhearing motorcycle and tricycle passengers as they pass the house shouting to the driver about the absence of hollow blocks. Today we heard one say in amazement “look, they’re using poured concrete”.
